Leave Time
New Castle County Head Start operates
both a part year and a full year program with a generous leave
schedule. Part year employees:
Work approximately 165 days per program
year
» Are paid for the Winter and Spring vacation closings
» Are eligible for unemployment compensation during the
Summer vacation
» Accrue 7-9 sick days per program year
» Accrue 4-5 personal days per program year
Full year employees
» Accrue 5-20 vacation days per program year
» Accrue 6-7 personal days per program year
» Accrue 10 sick days per program year
New Castle County Head Start observes 11 paid
